Some small dents can be repaired while keeping the existing paint. We assess the dent, the condition of the finish and access to the panel before recommending paintless dent repair.
Paintless dent repair, often called PDR, may suit certain minor dents with intact original paint. The size of the dent is only part of the assessment. Its depth, location, panel condition and accessibility all matter. A small dent on an awkward edge may need a different approach than a broader, shallow dent.
PDR reshapes a suitable dent without the conventional repainting step. It is not the right method for every damaged panel. If the paint is cracked, the panel is significantly stretched or access is limited, we can discuss conventional body and paint repair instead.
Intact paint is an important part of determining whether a paintless approach is appropriate.
We look at depth, creases, edges and the surrounding panel rather than judging suitability by size alone.
The repair area and access behind or around the dent affect the available repair approach.
Include the whole panel and several close-ups from different angles when requesting a photo estimate. Side lighting can help show the shape of a dent. We may ask to see the vehicle in person because an image cannot always show paint condition, depth or access. We will discuss the recommended approach and timing after assessment.
No. Suitability depends on the paint, dent shape and location, panel condition and access. Our team can assess the damage and explain whether PDR or conventional repair is appropriate.
A suitable paintless dent repair preserves the existing paint. If the damage requires conventional repair, refinishing may be part of the work instead.
The price depends on the dent and the work required. Start with photos or arrange an inspection so we can discuss the repair options for your vehicle.
